Text

The earth does swallow the sun away,
The dark blue blanket now to stay.
If you could hear what I hear now,
A few birds chirping and the crickets loud.
It steals my ears like an infants cry,
The owls hoots sound very sly.
These sounds I hear they mesmerize,
These are the sounds of the wise.

How did I get so lucky, to always want to sing?
To never want to wake up, cause I’d miss you in my dreams.
Every second, every day, I want you in my arms.
To warm my heart, to warm my soul, and never drift apart.
You just gave me butterflies, a line that lights my world.
I’d give you bags and bags of them, only if I could.
A girl as amazing as you, I’d figure you’d have wings.
An angel on the earth, the angel makes me sing.

The prettiest girl I’ve ever seen,
has blonde hair, or brown hair,
or something in between.

She wears no make-up,
She’s proud of herself,
And people love her because she is
someone else.

She should have wings,
as angels do.
A golden ring over her head,
on her finger too.

She is strong like a mountain,
she can’t be brought down.
On the rainiest of days
she’ll clear up the clouds.

Or she’ll run in the rain,
and be happy and free.
That’s why I love her,
because she’s unique.

I live in fear and don’t know why.
I do realize I’m gonna die.
And If I did I would regret
that my life’s been a wasted bet.
The time for change now has come.
I will live like I’m the only one.
Try things once, and maybe twice.
Who cares if I’m on thin ice.

The ice has cracked.
I’m on my back
and slowly falling through.
I turn around and run to the ground.
At least I followed through.

I was a game from the start
And just like a dart
It hurt when it hit
And now I quit.

I’m slamming the door
Just like before
I’m tired of the games
Life’s not the same.

I’m gonna live it
And love it
And be sticker free
I’m gonna fly like a bird
And stand strong like a tree.

Text

Put on your shoes,
It’s time for a race.
You asked for my help,
So I gave you my best.
It’s time to run away my friend,
As fast as you can.
He’ll stab you in the back,
He’ll throw mud in your face.
You don’t believe me?
You know that it’s true.
Because I tell you this,
As he does it to you.

This big brick wall will keep me out.
Now I sit here full of doubt.
The door is open, but I can’t get in.
Leaving me without a grin.
So now I sit here in the snow.
Sad and cold and all alone.

I’ll take a hammer and smash it down.
It’s warm inside, all around.
The wind sweeps in and takes it away.
It picks me up and I land on the bay.
The fire burns inside of me.
But it’s all alone, so I’ll sail at sea.
